How to find a Bass?

The places fish are found are called "structures", for example, a submerged log, weed beds or rocky wall/boulder, are perfect places to find fish homes. Fish seek these places out to school, for protection and also for ambush. Some species, like the Bass, seek the above places out but are very territorial and may guard the structure against other fish including other Bass for protection, schooling, ambush or mating. There are many ways to catch a Bass but the principles are universal. You must first find the food source and the structures that hold the food source and then you will stand a good chance of catching fish. We suggest a sounder to identify submerged logs and/or boulders etc. or you can fish rock walls or little bays with plenty of sticks in them.
(Note: Fish are active at dawn and dusk ½ to full moon phases)

This allows the angler to fish any structure or depth. As the lure hits the bottom, nose first it allows the lure to sit nose down and the body of the lure floats upward, this allows small twitching movements to create a life like feeding action like a small bait fish. Like a bait fish feeding head down looking for worms.

Casting and retrieving the "Bugger Chug" or the "Bat" is probably the most exciting fishing you will ever do. The "Bugger Chug" or "Bat" is best suited to working little bays with plenty of sticks. Small twitches and retrieves result in small movements hence keeping the lure in the strike zone longer. The "Bugger Chug"& the Bat also has a great rattle and dynamic "V" wave signalling to Bass "come and eat me"!
